A family-run salon with a genuine love for dogs.
Wags of Wicklow is a mother-and-daughter team, brought together by a lifelong love of dogs and a passion for their care.
We wanted to create a grooming experience that feels a little different, somewhere dogs are treated as individuals rather than simply another appointment in the diary.
Every dog has their own personality. Some happily trot through the door ready for their pamper, while others need a little more time, patience and reassurance. We adapt our approach to the dog in front of us, taking their age, temperament, coat and individual needs into consideration throughout their visit.
We both hold an Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming, combining professional training, with the caring personal approach we believe every dog deserves.
A Gentle Approach to Grooming
We want your dog to build a positive relationship with grooming, that lasts throughout their life.
We use calm handling, patience and reassurance and will never prioritise finishing a groom over your dog's wellbeing. Puppies, senior dogs and dogs who are nervous about grooming may need a little extra time, and that's okay.
If your dog needs a break, we'll give them one. If there's something they're particularly uncomfortable with, we'll work with them rather than against them.
Our goal isn't simply for your dog to look good when they leave. We want them to feel good too.
