Yes. We both hold an Ofqual Regulated Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming, giving us the professional knowledge and practical skills needed to groom dogs safely and to a high standard.

The right service will depend on your dog’s breed, coat type, coat condition and the finish you would like. Our Fresh & Clean groom is suited to short, smooth coats, while our Maintenance Groom is for longer or fluffier coats that don’t need length taken off. Our Complete Groom includes a full haircut and styling. Hand Stripping is available for suitable wire and harsh-coated breeds. If you’re unsure, just get in touch and we’ll help you choose.

No two dogs are exactly the same, even when they are the same breed. A dog with a well-maintained coat may take considerably less time than a dog with a very thick, overgrown or tangled coat. this allow us to price each groom fairly based on the time and work involved.

Grooming times vary depending on your dog’s size, coat, chosen service and how comfortable they are with the grooming process. We don’t like to rush dogs, particularly puppies, senior dogs or nervous dogs. We’ll give you an estimated timeframe and contact you when your dog is ready for collection.

This depends on your dog’s breed, coat and lifestyle. Dogs with long, curly or continuously growing coats generally benefit from regular professional grooming, while short-coated breeds may require less frequent appointments. We can recommend a grooming schedule that suits your dog after seeing their coat.

Our Puppy Introduction is a gentle first experience rather than a full haircut. Your puppy is gradually introduced to the salon, bathing, drying, brushing, grooming equipment and gentle handling. The focus is on building confidence and creating positive associations with grooming from an early age.

Please let us know beforehand if your dog is nervous or has struggled with grooming in the past. We use patience, reassurance and breaks where needed and will work at a pace your dog can manage. Your dog’s welfare comes before achieving a particular hairstyle or completing every part of the groom.

This will depend on the individual dog and the level of behaviour involved. Please tell us about any known behavioural issues, previous biting or sensitivity before booking. We will always prioritise the safety of your dog and groomer, and we may stop or modify a service if we feel it cannot be completed safely.

We will assess the coat and choose the safest and most comfortable option for your dog. Minor tangles may be manageable, but significant matting can be painful to brush out and may require the coat to be clipped shorter. Additional charges may apply where matting requires extra grooming time.

If matting is severe and cannot be comfortably removed, clipping the coat short may be the kindest option. We will never put a dog through excessive pulling or prolonged brushing simply to preserve a longer hairstyle. Wherever possible, we will discuss the available options with you.

Small knots and light tangles can often be worked through, depending on their location and severity. However, tightly matted areas close to the skin may need to be clipped. Comfort and skin safety will always take priority over keeping the coat long.

Our Maintenance Groom is designed to keep longer and fluffier coats clean, brushed and tidy between full grooming appointments and does not include taking length off all over. Our Complete Groom includes a full haircut, with clipping and/or scissoring to remove length and style the coat to your preferred finish.

Hand stripping involves carefully removing loose, dead hairs from certain wire and harsh-textured coats by hand rather than clipping them. It can help maintain the coat’s natural texture, colour and appearance. It isn’t suitable for every dog or coat, so we will assess your dog’s coat before recommending it.

Yes, nail trimming and filing are included in our grooming packages where appropriate and where your dog allows us to do so safely. If your dog becomes extremely stressed or reactive around nail care, we may not be able to complete this part of the service and would recommend a visit to the vets to cut their nails.

Yes, nail-only appointments may be available separately. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time rather than arriving without an appointment.

We generally recommend allowing your dog to settle with the groomer without their owner present. Some dogs become more excited, distracted or anxious when they can see their owner, which can make grooming more difficult. We’ll contact you as soon as your dog is ready.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you’re running late. Depending on how late you arrive and our schedule for the rest of the day, we may need to shorten, reschedule or rearrange the appointment.

We understand that plans can change. Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or move your appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to our cancellation policy.

Please collect your dog at the agreed time once we let you know their groom is finished. Late collection can disrupt later appointments and may be stressful for some dogs. Repeated or significantly late collections may result in an additional charge.

Sometimes. Our prices are based on the expected time and work involved. Additional charges may apply if considerably more time is required due to matting, coat condition, excessive shedding, heavy soiling, behaviour or other circumstances that make the groom more time-intensive.

Yes, where we can safely and comfortably accommodate them. Senior dogs and dogs with mobility issues or additional needs may require extra breaks, modified grooming techniques or a shorter, more practical style. Please tell us about any relevant needs before the appointment so we can make their visit as comfortable as possible.

Please let us know about anything that could affect your dog’s groom, including medical conditions, skin problems, allergies, injuries, mobility difficulties, previous grooming experiences, nervousness, sensitivities or any history of biting or reactive behaviour. The more we know beforehand, the better we can tailor the appointment to your dog.
